LaGrange, Kentucky has to be one of the most haunted cities in America. I have been to many reportedly “haunted” locations over the past 20 years. Some had rational explanations. Others, were questionable as to whether or not something of a paranormal nature was really happening or not. And a handful, I would consider to be legitimately haunted. La Grange, KY has its handful.

The research group in which I’m a member (P.R.O.O.V.) The Paranormal Researchers of Ohio Valley, has been together for quite a few years now. Our group of about 8 members, approaches the paranormal from both a scientific, as well as a metaphysical angle. We utilize some of the fancy (and sometimes not-so-fancy) equipment you’ve probably heard of….including EMF meters, Thermal Meters, Night Vision cams etc. We also use the talents of a couple of clairvoyants to help give us information that we otherwise may not be able to obtain. They tell us their ‘impressions’ of a location, and whether or not they pick up on any particular person or event. IF they do..then we’ll make every effort to validate that information through witness’ accounts or public records. This can really help us in providing a somewhat ‘educated’ guess on what may be happening at the location and why. We aren’t in the business of getting rid of ghosts. We’re trying to find evidence to support the opinion that once you die, there is something afterward. Is that something merely the survival of one’s own energy matter, or a survival of one’s complete soul and memories? We just don’t know yet. Maybe some day that question will finally be answered scientifically. But for now, we’ll all have to make up our own minds from the evidence that’s available.

The first location I want to tell you about is a private residence in La Grange. The owners (married couple) have lived in the home for several years. From the first day of occupancy, the wife Jamie, has felt their presence. She’s been open to the paranormal since she was a young child and is quite ’sensitive’ to such activity (even though sometimes she wishes she wasn’t!). P.R.O.O.V. made an initial visit to the house several years ago. I’ll tell you more about that when I get all the video from that investigation online. In the meantime, I made a more recent visit after Jamie called me to let me know that the activity in her home had begun to take a dark turn. She would almost always notice when ’something’ was around. Either through feeling a presence nearby or by hearing sounds in the home that couldn’t be explained. But now something was apparently attacking her 5-year-old son. The boy was complaining of someone slapping him while he was in bed. I had asked if it was possible that he was just saying this to get attention as some kids do. But Jamie said that she could actually see the redness on her son’s face and that he would normally use other methods to gain attention when he felt the need. I called a friend of mine who I had on DimensionsRadio as a guest in the past, Bishop James Long. Bishop Long is an exorcist. He specializes in helping people get rid of evil and sometimes, demonic entities. I wasn’t sure this is exactly what she was dealing with or not, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to have James come out and do a cleansing for her.

Shortly after making contact with Bishop James, we set a Saturday night to do the investigation on the home. Bishop James and a couple of assistants met me at my house and we followed each other to Jamie’s house. James went through the home in every single room and blessed each doorway and window..this is done to “seal” off the exits of the negative entity if one is around. We did have an odd thing happen while on the second floor of the house. The alarm clock radio in the youngest child’s room, which had been working fine all night, suddenly began flashing the time. It kept switching time very quickly and then suddenly stopped on 12:23. Bishop Long made a comment that this time meant something relating to Jesus in the Catholic faith. No one had been in the room to touch the clock or to set it in any way.

The last location to visit was the house’s cellar. This is one location Jamie fears going. She has a terrible feeling whenever she’s in the cellar, and rarely, if ever, goes down there. Here’s what happened when we all went down with Bishop Long.

As of January 2nd..occasional activity is noticed. But there’s been no more ‘attacks’ on either of the children.
